The national news agency LETA is looking for an experienced and inspiring Head of the Photo Department to join its team, someone who will be able to develop the department’s work, lead the team of photographers, and ensure high-quality visual content.
Main Responsibilities
The Head of the Photo Department will be responsible for:
* coordinating the work of the Photo Department and planning photographers’ workloads;
* monitoring the quality of published photo content and metadata;
* preparing and implementing proposals for the department’s development;
* promoting the professional growth of photographers;
* maintaining a positive work environment and team collaboration;
* building good relationships with clients.
Candidate Requirements
LETA is seeking a candidate with professional photography experience and knowledge of the specifics of news photography. Basic knowledge of studio photography, an understanding of photographic equipment, and its practical application are also required.
Experience in administrative work, the ability to organize the work of others, and knowledge of the most popular IT platforms for photo management will be considered an advantage.
Good communication skills, the ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients, as well as a desire to grow professionally and develop the team will be important.
