PRO PORTFOLIO PRIVACY POLICY

1. Controller
Personal data controller: [legal name, registration no., address]. Data enquiries: admin@proportfolio.lv.
2. What data we process and why
2.1. Account: e-mail, username, password (stored only as an irreversible hash), name, country and city, role and level, profile data you enter yourself (description, contacts, prices, genres, social links), uploaded works. Purpose — running your account and showing your portfolio. Basis — contract (terms of service).
2.2. Sign-in with Google: we receive your e-mail address, name and account identifier from Google; we never receive your Google password. Basis — contract.
2.3. Security: sign-in and registration log (time, IP address, device, browser, country, time zone), failed attempts, security alerts about sign-ins from a new country or device. Purpose — protecting accounts from takeover and abuse. Basis — our legitimate interests.
2.4. Visit statistics: pages opened, time on page, scroll depth, device type, browser, screen size, language, time zone, arrival source (referrer, UTM). In statistics the IP address is stored only as an irreversible hash, never in clear; the portal uses no third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, no advertising trackers). Basis — legitimate interests (improving the portal).
2.5. Communication: messages, bookings and contact requests between users; a log of who opened which profile's e-mail, phone or link (time, IP hash, device) — so the owner sees their statistics and to prevent bulk harvesting of contacts. Basis — contract and legitimate interests.
2.6. E-mails: registration confirmation, password reset, security alerts, notifications about messages, reviews and activity, reminders to finish your profile, the monthly statistics digest. You can unsubscribe from reminders and digests via the link in the e-mail or in settings. Basis — contract and legitimate interests; marketing e-mails — your consent.
2.7. Automatic translation: profile and post texts may be translated by a translation service (DeepL); only the text is passed, never your identity.
3. Cookies
The portal uses only necessary cookies: the session cookie (sign-in), the "remember me" cookie (if you choose it), language choice, the 18+ confirmation and an anonymous visitor identifier (pvid) for visit statistics. There are no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. You can delete or block cookies in your browser; some features (sign-in) will then not work.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell data and do not hand it to third parties. Processors that help us: web hosting (server in the EU), the e-mail delivery service, the backup storage (files.fm), the translation service (DeepL) — only as far as the service requires, under contract. Google — only if you choose to sign in with a Google account. Your public profile, works and reviews are visible to anyone on the internet, including search engines.
5. How long we keep data
Account data — as long as the account exists; after deletion the core data is erased, while an archive copy of the deleted account may be kept for restoration at the owner's request and abuse prevention. Sign-in log — up to 180 days. Visit statistics — up to 400 days; monthly summaries without personal data — indefinitely. Outgoing e-mail log — 30 days. Contact-opening log — as long as the profile exists.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it (mostly yourself in settings and the profile editor), erase it (account deletion in settings), restrict or object to processing, receive your data in a portable form and lodge a complaint with the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (dvi.gov.lv). Send requests to admin@proportfolio.lv; we answer within 30 days.
7. Security
Passwords are stored only as hashes, the connection is encrypted (HTTPS), access to data is restricted, two-factor authentication is available for accounts. We will inform you of a data breach that creates a high risk to you.
8. Children
The portal is not intended for persons under 16.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the current version is always on this page with the date at the top.
