Xposure Photography Awards: A Free Contest with a Prize Pool of Over $60,000
Xposure International Photography Awards has announced its 2026–2027 competition for photographers from around the world.
🇱🇻 Photographers from Latvia are also eligible to participate.
✅ Participation is free of charge.
💵 The total prize fund exceeds 60,000 U.S. dollars.
The competition is part of the international Xposure Photography Festival in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The works of the winners and finalists will be exhibited at the festival.
Can I participate from Latvia? Yes.
The contest is open to photographers of all nationalities aged 18 and older. Professionals, amateurs, and students are all welcome to participate.
📸 Categories
Xposure offers several categories, including:
* architecture;
* nature and landscape;
* night photography;
* portrait;
* sports;
* street photography;
* mobile photography;
* visual storytelling;
* photomanipulation and AI.
The photo manipulation and AI category is separate. In the other categories, you may not add or remove significant image content or stage an event in a way that misleads the viewer.
📮 What can be submitted?
Each participant may submit up to ten works, distributing them among the selected categories.
Photographs must have been taken within the last three years.
Technical requirements:
* JPEG format;
* at least 2,700 pixels on the longest side;
* the organizers recommend approximately 5,000 pixels on the longest side;
* no watermarks or the author’s name on the image.
Finalists may be asked to submit a high-resolution TIFF file and the original RAW file. For the Photo Manipulation and AI categories, entrants must be able to submit a working file with layers and information about the tools used.

The overall winner of the competition will receive:

✈️ Airfare and accommodation to the awards ceremony in Sharjah
🖼 Participation in the Xposure Festival exhibition
Category winners will receive:
💵 $3,000

🖼 participation in the exhibition
Second-place winners in each category will receive 1,500 US dollars, travel support, and participation in the exhibition.

The official contest page lists September 5, 2026, as the initial deadline. The same calendar also indicates an extended deadline of September 20.
